A Schuylkill County man and woman are facing disorderly conduct and other charges following a loud incident last month in which a vehicle was bumped by another.
Police in Pottsville say they were called to the 200 block of Schuylkill Ave. shortly after 1 a.m. on Oct. 19 for a reported disturbance.
At the scene, police say they encountered a man and woman screaming at each other and then screaming at them.
When police attempted to inquire about what was happening, they say Denis Beltran-Roldan, 41, yelled at them, “You need to tell this (bleeping) mother-(bleeper) to leave me the (bleep) alone!” He pointed at his neighbor’s residence while hurling those epithets.
Carmen Berroa-Dejesus, 44, was also screaming, police say. She said, while pointing at her neighbor’s house that he hit her car.
Police say they asked both parties to separate due to their erratic behavior. They both moved to the doorway, refused to separate, and continued yelling. The yelling continued and both had moved to the edge of their porch again, police say.
Once again, police insisted that both parties cease with the yelling from the edge of their porch. They went to their doorway and continued yelling, police say.
Police say they asked Berroa-Dejesus to point out the vehicle that her neighbor allegedly hit but she continued to yell and failed to provide them with any sort of timeline of the events that had transpired. She also failed to provide police with her personal information, they say.
When asked one more time to step outside and speak, police say both just continued yelling. They then retreated into their home and shut the door.
Police say they eventually made contact with the victim in this incident who said he parked his vehicle in front of Beltran-Roldan’s vehicle. As he was making his way to his residence, police say Beltran-Roldan confronted him, threatened to kill him, fight him, and then spit on him.
The victim said he wasn’t sure if any spit actually hit him.
He said Berrora-Dejesus then came outside and threw a glass object at him.
The victim’s doorbell camera reportedly caught this incident and police say the video revealed that Beltran-Roldan getting into his green Mini Cooper. He then backs into the victim’s vehicle at a slow speed, not causing any damage. Beltran-Roldan then pulls into a nearby parking lot across the street.
After all this, both Beltran-Roldan and Berroa-Dejesus were charged with persistent disorderly conduct. Berroa-Dejesus had a charge tacked on for scattering rubbish and Beltran-Roldan was hit with a charge for driving on a suspended license.
