National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Schuylkill County. The Flood Watch is in effect until 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20.
Forecasters say flash flooding is possible due to excessive rainfall that may occur during this time. Rivers, creeks, streams, low-lying and other flood-prone areas are vulnerable to runoff caused by the excessive rainfall.
Up to 3 inches of rain could fall in areas hit with downpours, NWS says.
