Schuylkill County Attorney Honored with State Trial Lawyers Association’s Top Award

Patel named 2026 Rosenberg Award recipient

The Pennsylvania Association for Justice (formerly the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers  Association) has named Pottsville-based trial lawyer, Attorney Sud Patel, the 2026 recipient of the Association’s Milton D. Rosenberg Award.

The Rosenberg Award is the most prestigious award bestowed by the Pennsylvania Association for Justice. The award is given to a trial lawyer who has demonstrated a career-long dedication to protecting the rights of injured victims and whose service to the Pennsylvania Association for Justice has been both meaningful and sustained.

Started more than 60 years ago, the association is one of the most-respected trial lawyer  associations across the Country and has a membership of close to 2,000 trial lawyers.

In receiving the Rosenberg Award, Patel becomes the very first trial lawyer from  Schuylkill County to ever be nominated for and receive the award. Patel is a Past President of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, and has held every Officer position along the way. He currently serves as a Board of Governors Member of the Association and is also a Trustee for PAJ’s Political Action Committee. Patel has also helped plan, moderate, and has also spoken at numerous continuing legal education events for PAJ and other statewide and national trial lawyer  associations.

Patel’s law partner, Albert J. Evans, commented, “When it comes to representing injured  victims, few if any lawyers can match what Sud Patel has done. He is a tireless advocate who cares deeply about not only our Firm’s own clients but about the rights of injured victims and their access to justice across Pennsylvania. His results inside the courtroom include multiple million-dollar plus jury verdicts and numerous seven figure settlements as well. He is always willing to help colleagues from all four corners of Pennsylvania and beyond, and his dedication to our community year in and yearout truly sets him apart. Even with an incredibly busy law  practice and caseload, he still makes time to handle political/legislative issues, mentor younger lawyers, and coordinate our law firm’s many community campaigns and outreaches.”
