PADCO Seeks Business Input to Secure Downtown Facade Grant Funding

Property, business owners asked to complete survey

Pottsville Area Development Corporation is asking downtown property and business owners to complete a brief survey by Aug. 26 to help secure state grant money for exterior building repairs.

PADCO is applying for Main Street Matters funding through the state’s Dept. of Community and Economic Development (DCED). State guidelines require documented evidence of community demand to support the funding application, PADCO says.

If approved, the program will help offset costs for street-facing exterior improvements on buildings located within Pottsville’s downtown Strategic Redevelopment Area. Eligible projects include repairs or upgrades to masonry, windows, doors, signage, awnings, and lighting.

PADCO says every survey response helps demonstrate need and strengthens the its application, regardless of whether an owner is certain they will ultimately participate.

Downtown property and business owners can submit their feedback directly through the survey: COMPLETE THE DOWNTOWN FACADE SURVEY
