National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Schuylkill County. The Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 8 p.m.
A Flood Watch remains in effect until 2 a.m. Wednesday.
NWS says it expects slow-moving showers and thunderstorms to move through the area on Tuesday, potentially depositing up to 2 inches of rain during that time. Rainfall could reach rates of 2 inches per hour.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are favorable for severe storms to form. It does not mean that a storm is imminent or likely.
