Jury selection begins today at the Schuylkill County Courthouse for 45 criminal cases on the November trial term, including a Shenandoah man charged with raping a child and a man charged with aggravated assault of an unborn child.
The cases involve 38 defendants. Several face more than one case. Many cases on a trial term list are resolved with guilty pleas before a jury is seated. Some cases were listed in the previous trial term in September but were continued for myriad reasons.
