A Schuylkill County woman has been charged and was temporarily jailed following a series of incidents earlier this morning.
According to affidavits filed by State Police-Schuylkill Haven, Troopers were first called to a home in Branch Township shortly after midnight on Thursday, April 17, for a report of a burglary in progress.
When Troopers arrived at the scene, they came into contact with the suspect – identified as Brynn Krasinsky, 26, of Pottsville – who allegedly entered a home on Willing St. through a back window.
Krasinsky allegedly struck a victim in the face inside the home.
Police say Krasinsky was intoxicated and admitted to driving around and drinking two bottles of wine. She reportedly told police she didn’t know why she entered the home and that she was having a mental breakdown.
As police attempted to take her into custody, Kraskinsky resisted police say. Once they got her in custody, Troopers transported her to Lehigh Valley Hospital-East in Pottsville for an evaluation and blood test.
Once the hospital cleared Krasinsky, police again tried taking Krasinsky in custody but she started pulling her arms away from one Trooper. After Troopers got her under their control, they began walking her back to their patrol vehicle through the emergency room at the hospital.
Krasinsky again started resisting and then allegedly kicked one of the Troopers in the right knee. She was eventually escorted to the patrol vehicle but once inside, sitting on the back seat, police say Krasinsky spat through the window of the back seat divider, hitting one Trooper in the back of the head.
Police say they then attempted to put a “spit sock” on Krasinsky but she again resisted, kicking the same Trooper again but this time in the left knee.
Krasinsky has been charged with multiple felonies, including burglary, aggravated assault, and assault of a law enforcement officer. She’s also been charged with two counts of simple assault, DUI, and harassment.
She was arraigned early Thursday morning before District Magistrate David Plachko, who set bail at $25,000 cash. Krasinsky posted bond and has been released from Schuylkill County Prison.
Preliminary hearings will be held on each incident, one before District Magistrate Judge David Rossi and the other before Judge James Reiley.
