BEST Free NFL Week 14 DFS Lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings

SUNDAY MORNING UPDATES

Lev Bell is OUT, meaning Bilal Powell will get the work for the Jets vs. the Dolphins.  Powell will not only get the rushes but he catches the ball too and should get the bulk of the snaps at RB.  I’m all in on Powell here, he’s so cheap on both sites it opens up a lot of options.

FANDUEL UPDATE

IN – Aaron Rodgers / OUTBaker Mayfield – Aaron Rodgers has been an animal at home this season and he tears up inferior defenses.  I loved ARod this week but the old build didn’t fit him.

IN – Bilal Powell / OUT – Davonta Freeman – See above.

IN – Michael Thomas / OUT – OBJ – Thomas is the WR version of Christian McCaffrey.  Tons of targets/catches and always a threat for a TD.

IN – Julio Jones / OUT – James Washington – YOLO! Also, see my analysis down in the GPP section.

IN – Ian Thomas / OUT – Darren Waller – Great salary savings which opens up the star receivers above.

IN – Pittsburgh Steelers / OUT – Chargers – Pittsburgh D is a machine this season and they get the turnover prone Cardinals.

DRAFTKINGS UPDATE

In process but you can bet that Bilal Powell will be part of it…

IN – Aaron Rodgers / OUT – Baker Mayfield – See above.

IN – Bilal Powell / OUT – Courtland Sutton – See above.

IN – Baltimore Ravens / OUT – 49ers – The Ravens have been playing inspired defense lately and they’re going to be in a tough, low scoring game with the Bills

I’ll let you know if I have any more updates.

Happy Sunday Canary Crew!  Thanks for checking out my best free NFL Week 14 DFS Lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings.  I hope you all enjoyed your weekly edition of watching the Cowboys implode on national TV, this week getting stomped out by the Mitchell Trubisky and the Bears.  We’re on to Week 14 and I’m going to share my lineups for the week with a brief synopsis of why these players made the cut.

Before we get started, let’s address last week.

Sometimes in DFS you step on a landmine right away and you’re dead before the fighting starts.  You’re like the guys in Saving Private Ryan who get shot 137 times as the landing craft door opens.

That was us last week largely in part to my decision to roll Nick Foles out there and he rewarded us with 93 yards passing, 1 INT, 2 Fumbles and 1 benching at halftime for a dude who is routinely compared to Uncle Rico.

For those of you keeping score at home, its hard to win when your QB gets you 1.02 DK points and an impressive -0.98 on FD.

DFS is great because we just reload this week and can win it all back! I really like the way the board lays out for us this week and I’ll include a BONUS GPP lineup at the end that I’m rolling out to try to pop a big score.

I’m available via Twitter @FlashlightDFS if you have questions about building your lineups on DFS or general fantasy football questions.

So here it is, my best FREE NFL Week 14 Lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings.

THE FLASHLIGHT’S CORE

Here are the guys that I’m using on both sites (FanDuel and DraftKings) and why I like them this week.

QUARTERBACK

Baker Mayfield Baker gets the Bengals this week who rank out in the bottom 5 defenses in nearly every statistic.  Bake has quietly gotten his season back on track since and has been playing good football lately. He’s faced excellent competition in 5 of his last 6 games (Pittsburgh twice, Buffalo, Denver, New England) and has still managed to average 237 yards and 1.67 TD/game.  His one break during that time was vs. Miami where he went 327/3.  Cinci is as bad if not worse than Miami at stopping the pass.

RUNNING BACKS

Melvin Gordon Big Melvin faces the floundering Jaguars and their league-worst run defense.  After easing in to the season, Gordon has taken on the lead rushing role as expected.  Over his last 4 he’s averaging 19 carries for 89 yards and .75 TD.  Now he faces a Jags D who are bottom 5 in the league in total rushing yards, yards per carry, rushing TDs and RB fantasy points.

Devonta Freeman – Carolina is reeling following the firing of Ron Rivera and a disastrous loss the the Redskins.  Here’s a fun fact – The Panthers gave up 250+ rush yards to the Redskins last week.  No pithy fact I guess, but that’s freakin’ terrible!  Freeman is back from his foot injury and carries the load for Atlanta.  I don’t expect 250 yards, but I think 125 is certainly in play, plus Freeman is catching over 4 balls per game so that helps too.

WIDE RECEIVERS

Tyler Boyd – Boyd is a WR1 at a WR2 price.  He’s a different player with Andy Dalton at the helm and the Browns are not stellar at stopping the pass.  Boyd’s price is crazy low and he’ll be highly owned but I still like him to put up at WR1 performance at a bargain price.

Odell Beckham Jr – I’m not an OBJ guy but this week he’s set up to have a classic OBJ game.  He loves to beat up on losers and the Bengals certain fit the bill.  In reality, Beckham does well against inferior opponents and he’s faced the same tough defenses as Baker, so I basically like him for the same reason.  His average game vs. “gettable” pass defenses? 6/115/.66

James Washington Jimmy Wash has chemistry with Duck.  Weird sentence right? Hey, they hunt ducks together, and the Steelers fan in me is counting on them hunting Cardinals today.  Washington has established himself as the Steelers best option with JuJu’s absence.  I ain’t scared of the Cardinals D or Patrick Peterson.  Besides, they move Wash all over the formation and Peterson rarely shadows.

FANDUEL

THE FLASHLIGHT’S CORE PLUS:

TE – Darren Waller – Waller gets the Titans who don’t have the personnel to keep up with the athletic TE.  Waller gets peppered with targets (7.25/game) and is the #1 pass catching option for the Raiders.  The Raiders will likely need to throw to keep up with the Titans and Waller should be the primary beneficiary.

FLEX – Davonte Adams – Adams is a monster, plain and simple and he’s going up against the Redskins at home, where the Packers offense has been MUCH better.  Adams has 10+ targets in each of his last 5 games and has either 100 yards or a TD in 4 of 5.

DEF – San Diego Los Angeles Chargers – Don’t look now but the Chargers D is healthy and causing problems for their opponents.  The Jags struggle to protect their QBs and they get their taste of Minshew Mania this week.

DRAFT KINGS

THE FLASHLIGHT’S CORE PLUS:

TE – Jack Doyle – Jackie is the only show in town with Ebron on IR and Mo Allie Cox sucking one of his namesakes. Last week he turned his 11 targets in to 6/73/1 and he faces the porous Buccaneers defense.  The Colts will be with out TY Hilton yet again making Doyle the best option in the pass game.

FLEX – Courtland Sutton – Sutton has become a star this year having a great statistical season no matter what trash can they roll out at QB in Denver.  I actually think Drew Lock is the best option and he’s facing the Texans who aren’t shy about giving up yards or TDs to opposing WR.  This is a great price for a WR1 and one we’ll take advantage of.

DEF – San Francisco 49ers – The Niners held their own against the offensive juggernaut that is Lamar Jackson and the Ravens last week.  While this match up vs. the Sants doesn’t sound easy, they’re an extremely talented group who will terrorize Drew Brees all day long.  A great price for a top 3 defense.

All righty then, there you have it my cash game lineups for Week 14.  As promised, I’ll include the GPP lineup that I’m rolling out on FanDuel today that I have particularly high hopes for.

FANDUEL GPP LINEUP

I’m using this lineup in GPP’s ONLY due to potential volatility.  It’s loaded with players I love this week who I think will be lower owned which is the path to success in larger GPP contests.  Keep in mind this is for the Sun-Mon contests over on FD so I could get a pieced of Miles Sanders.

QB – David Blough – With minimal notice Blough put 280/2 on the Bears. With a week of practice/meetings/preparation he gets the Vikings. I think he improves on his first start.

RB – Derrick Henry – I love Henry, I drafted him in nearly all of my seasonal leagues.  Henry runs 6’3″ 247lbs.  He is a mountain of a man and nobody wants to get involved in tacking him.  He’s a different player in December, and guess what? It’s December.

RB – Melvin Gordon – See above.

WR – Julio Jones Jones price came down after his let down last week. People will be scared off due to the James Bradberry CB match up today.  Julio is a freak WR1 who can go nuts vs. anyone.  Give me a low owned discounted Julio.

WR – Tyler Boyd – See above.

WR – Kenny Golladay – I see Kenny G going nuts vs. a slow Vikings secondary.  Many will choose Marvin Jones but I’m paying up to Golladay for lower ownership.

TE – Ian Thomas – Next guy up for the Panthers at TE.  In 4th quarter injury relief last week he saw 4 targets for 4/24. Minimum priced option.

https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-1658728627906147

FLEX – Miles Sanders – It’s been the Sanders show and it looks like Jordan Howard will miss again.  The Eagles play the Giants on Monday night and Sanders will once again be the unquestioned RB1 vs. a defense that routinely gets shredded on the ground and by pass catching RB.

DEF – Los Angeles Chargers – See above and below.

***I am seriously considering the JETS here but need to know if Jamal Adams plays. If Adams DOES PLAY, I will pivot to the JETS.

That’s it for the week, good luck Canary Crew!
