Saint Clair Man Charged with Felony Burglary, Trespass

Victim found man drinking Twisted Tea on her porch

Police in Saint Clair have filed felony burglary and trespassing charges following a series of incidents recently.

According to court documents, a woman says she woke up on Sunday morning to take her dogs outside. When she got outside, she says a man – identified as Kory Stencovage, 57 – was sitting on her patio chair drinking a Twisted Tea.

The woman ran back inside and upstairs to get her son-in-law. When he came downstairs, they found Stencovage in the living room. The son-in-law reportedly yelled at Stencovage to leave the house immediately.

Police asked the woman how Stencovage got inside her home. She said that when she ran inside to get her son-in-law, she must have left the back door unlocked.

It was later learned that Stencovage had been warned not to have contact with the victim of this incident following a harassment complaint filed on April 28.

Police caught up with Stencovage later on Sunday morning. They say during their interview with him, he smelled of alcohol. Stencovage also reportedly admitted that he entered the victim’s back yard through an open gate and had just gone there to talk. He said he left when he was ordered to leave.

Stencovage has been charged with felony burglary and criminal trespassing charges along with a misdemeanor offense of disorderly conduct and a summary charge of harassment.

He was arraigned before District Magistrate Judge AJ Serina Sunday morning and remanded to Schuylkill County Prison on $30,000 bail, which hasn’t been posted, as of Tuesday night.
