National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Schuylkill County and much of eastern Pennsylvania.
The Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 10 p.m. Thursday.
A Flood Watch remains in effect until 2 a.m. Friday for Schuylkill County.
Severe thunderstorms this afternoon and this evening could cause excessive rainfall that could lead to flooding and flash flooding. Rainfall rates of 1-2 inches per hour could result from the downpours in thunderstorms.
