Week 6 NFL DFS Review – Who Helped Us and Who Hurt Us (and why)

daily fantasy football strategies

Hey Canary Crew, here’s my Week 6 NFL DFS Review – Who Helped us and Who Hurt Us (and why).

It was lower scoring this week versus last week but we were able to take advantage and cash 100% of lineups on both sites!

If you followed my analysis on STEFON DIGGS you probably had a good week too!  He’s my call of the week and I’m glad my analysis helped identify the match up and let us take advantage of it.  Wonder what my Diggs thoughts were last week? Enjoy:

Ok, I’ll stop pumping my tires on Diggs for a little bit and get to the review, where I’ll pump my tires a little more.

On FanDuel we hit 134.44 points and on DraftKings we hit 153.94 points.  Overall a great week for us and I’m looking forward to week 7.

Don’t forget to give me a follow on Twitter @FlashlightDFS for any kind of fantasy football advice, both DFS or seasonal.

FANDUEL

YTD Cash Game Record: 4-2

134.44 points this week and the average pay line in cash games was 115.91 so we cashed 100% of contests.  Stefon Diggs was the key here with his monster game. Matt Ryan was our afternoon hammer to keep us above the pay line.  Malcom Brown sucked but since he was between 70-80% owned in most cash games everyone felt the pain and it didn’t hold us back.

DRAFTKINGS

YTD Cash Game Record: 3-3

153.94 points and the average pay line in cash games was 138.06 so that’s another 100% cash! A lot of good hits here with Ryan, Carson, Julio and Hooper.  I rarely have three players from the same team on a cash game but it worked out here.  My original lineup had Christian Kirk, not Courtland SuttonKirk was ruled out an hour before the game so I filled in with Sutton who was in the same price range and had a favorable match up against the Titans.

WHO HELPED US

These are the guys I wrote up in my weekly article Week 6 NFL DFS Breakdown for FanDuel and DraftKings that helped get us above the pay lines.

QB – Nailed 4/5 reccomendations.  Ryan, Lamar, Murry & Cousins all smashed.

RB – Carson, Ingram, Freeman, Hyde, AP all paid off in spades. Kenyan Drake actually didn’t kill you if you were crazy enough to roster him.

WR – Pretty much 100% this week.  Julio, Tyreek, Diggs, McLaurin all smashed.  Mike Thomas, Fitz or Dede Westbrook didn’t kill you if you used them.

TE – Hooper crushed.  Kittle and Andrews both had solid weeks.

DEF – Ravens, Vikings and 49ers were all good plays that made my article.

WHO HURT US (and why)

These guys didn’t perform up to expectations.

QB – Minshew finally looked like a rookie.  He was inaccurate all day and just generally looked like crap.  The New Orleans defense came to play and looked like the ’85 Bears.

RB – Alvin Kamara got some yardage sniped by Latavious Murray.  There was only 1 TD in the game and was the lowest scoring game of the week.  Derrick Henry was victim of some of the most awful QB play in NFL history between Marcus Mariotta and Ryan Tannehill.

WR – All good.

TE – Ertz and Kelce both disappointed.  Ertz was double covered all day which is why Alshon Jeffrey had success.  Kelce is victim of some sputtering by KC as Mahomes tries to fight through his ankle injury.

DEF – Dallas sucks.  There, I said it and I’m not ashamed.  The Jets and Titans were mediocre which isn’t surprising but they combined for just 2 sacks and 1 INT.  Would have expected more.

Overall another very good week for us here.  100% cash success on both sites means we’re starting to build a pretty nice bankroll as we move towards November.

Stay tuned for the weekly breakdown of Week 7.
