Happy Sunday Canary Crew! Well we’ve finally made it to December and as we enter Week 13 of the NFL season the end is unfortunately in sight. For what it’s worth, the NFL has done as well as they can (in my opinion) with managing through various COVID issues and as a result we’ve got another nearly full Sunday slate.
Last week wasn’t our best as we paid up for Dalvin Cook and were let down by a poor performance. Teddy Bridgewater was also a letdown our low priced options didn’t end up scoring which hurt us in the long run. FanDuel was a total loss, we came up with 112.78 points and pay lines hovered around 115, so just missed but just missed is the same as last place. On DraftKings we fared a little better, winning in 66% of contests with 131.18 points, basically right on the pay line. Either way it wasn’t a great week but I’m here to change that in Week 13.
We hit a cooler last week going 2-4 on our NFL gambling picks. That puts us at 49-30 for the year keeping us profitable at 62%.
WEATHER ALERTS: Nothing that will significantly affect fantasy value.
It’s gonna be a condensed version this week, the ‘ol Flashlight has some obligations (oblos) to take care of. Basically it’s just a little less verbiage which some of you will probably appreciate. But don’t worry, I’ll still hit you with THE FLASHLIGHT’S CORE – These are “my guys” for the week who are common between my lineups on both FanDuel and DraftKings. This is an unusual week where the lineups between sites are nearly identical except for the FLEX plays. Then I’ll let you know who I’m using to fill out each roster by site. Finally, I’ll show you my lineups. Keep in mind that I do make changes on Sunday morning if news breaks. If that happens I’ll tweet out the link to this updated article.
So make sure you follow me on Twitter @FlashlightDFS for my latest updates, last minute info, game day entertainment, seasonal or daily lineup advice or just to shoot the breeze about football.
THE FLASHLIGHT’S CORE
RUNNING BACK
Dalvin Cook ($10500 FD/$9500 DK) – What do we do when we fall off the horse? We get back on. Tallyho, Jacksonville sucks and Cook’s ankle looks to be ok.
Myles Sanders ($7200 FD/$6700 DK) – As Philly fans are painfully aware, HC Doug Pederson is a moron. He got blown up for only allowing Sanders to touch the ball 8 times in last week’s loss so expect a big workload. The Packers are are middle of the road defensively.
Miles Gaskin ($5500 FD/$5900 DK) – Back from IR this week, other RBs are all out. Bengals are 3rd worst rush defense in the league. Low price, should be high work load.
WIDE RECEIVER
Allen Robinson ($6900 FD/$6700 DK) – 4th most targets in the NFL facing the Lions who come in with a bottom 5 pass defense.
Jarvis Landry ($6000 FD/$6200 DK) – Coming off 11 target, 8/143/1 game. Don’t expect that much but the Titans bring a bottom 5 pass defense to the field today.
Keke Coutee ($4800 FD/$3500 DK) – Budget option, taking starting role with Fuller suspended and Cobb on IR. Watson is still a top 5 QB and somebody’s got to catch it.
FANDUEL
THE FLASHLIGHT’S CORE PLUS:
QUARTERBACK – Kyler Murray ($8700 FD) – Gambling that his shoulder is better. Top scoring fantasy QB, he’s like starting a QB and RB in one spot.
TIGHT END – TJ Hockenson ($6100 FD) – Bears are vulnerable to the tight end and Hockenson is seeing over 6 targets/game.
DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS – Packers ($4100) – The Eagles love to turn it over and give up sacks. Let’s see what happens.
DRAFTKINGS
THE FLASHLIGHT’S CORE PLUS:
QUARTERBACK – Mitchell Trubisky ($5400 DK) – No, I didn’t suffer a stroke this week. Garbage time counts too and Trubisky is a king of it. He threw for 242/3 Week 1 vs. Lions and in Week 12 too. Weird.
TIGHT END – Robert Tonyan ($3700 DK) – Flashlight gut play. Eagles should double Adams and blitz, making TE the outlet valve for Rodgers. Tonyan has been productive all year and has at least 5 catches, 44 yards and 1 TD in his last two.
DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS ($2100 DK) – No, I still haven’t suffered a stroke. The Jets defense isn’t really the problem there and the Raiders just shat the bed last week and are traveling east again for a 1pm game. The price is right, they really only need to get us 6 points to pay off.
THE FLASHLIGHT’S FAVORITE BETS
2-4 last week, cooled down but still profitable at 49-30 (62%) for the season.
Browns/Titans un 53
Jags/Vikings ov 51
Bills +1
Bengals +10.5
Bears -3
Eagles +8
Good luck this week!
