BEST Free NFL Week 13 DFS Lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings

Week 4 NFL FanDuel DraftKings

Happy Sunday Canary Crew!  I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving and watching the Cowboys implode on national TV.  We’re on to Week 13 and I’m going to share my lineups for the week with a brief synopsis of why these players made the cut.  Last week was a split between FanDuel and DraftKings.  Here’s a quick look at our FanDuel result:

Matt Ryan? Suck.  Saquon Barkley? Suck. Julio Jones? Suck. Jamison Crowder? Suck.  Vance McDonald? Pictured above.

On DraftKings we were in the money.  My pivot to Baker Mayfield and OBJ (from Ryan/Julio) paid off and I supplemented that with Calvin Ridley who had a nice game.

All in all it was a losing week for me since I was heavier on FD than DK but it wasn’t a total loss.

DFS is great because we just reload this week and can win it all back! I have some great value plays (especially on FD) that open up A LOT of options and I love my lineup on both sites, they’re stacked with star power and balanced with quality value.

I’m available via Twitter @FlashlightDFS if you have questions about building your lineups on DFS or general fantasy football questions.

So here it is, my best FREE NFL Week 13 Lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings.

THE FLASHLIGHT’S CORE

I’m mixing it up a little this week because I have 6 plays I’m using on both sites, so I’ll break them down here first and then provide comments on the other 3 plays that are different on each site.

QB – Nick Foles – That’s right, I’m going with BDN here which may seem crazy but his price is nice and the match up is ideal.  Since returning from injury Foles has thrown the ball 95 times in two games and that’s going to continue today vs. the top ranked Tampa rush defense.  We know Tampa struggles to stop the pass and the Jags have been chucking it all over the yard.  Foles is nearly a lock for 40+ more attempts and vs. a soft Bucs D he will flourish.

RB – Christian McCaffrey – Yes, he’s as expensive as he’s ever been (11,000 FD/10,500 DK) but we all know he’s worth it.  The Redskins stink and have allowed over 115 yards/game over their last 5.  CMC has been fire and forget all season and this week is no different.

RB – Miles Sanders – Yep, I’m going right back to Sanders who has dominated the Eagles backfield with Jordan Howard out (he’ll miss again this week).  Sanders gets the lowly Dolphins in a game where the Eagles need to hold serve to keep pace with the struggling Cowboys.  Sanders has averaged 14 touches/game over his last two and I’ll take that vs. the Dolphins at this price.  This is an ultimate “get right” game for the struggling Eagles offense.

WR – Tyler Boyd – After a stinker vs. the Raiders Boyd got back on track last week for 5/101/1 vs. the Steelers.  He gets the Jets this week who have allowed the 6th most fantasy points to WR.  He also gets Andy Dalton back from exile after the Ryan Findlay experiment flamed out.  Boyd has 8 or more targets in 8 of 11 games this year.

WR – DJ Chark – Dude is a freak (6’3″, 200 lbs, 4.34 40) and he’s really emerged this year as the receiver that Jags thought he was coming out of LSU.  Chark gets the lowly Bucs pass D and averages over 8 targets per game.  He has connected well with Foles so far and with his size/speed combo he’s both a red zone target and big play threat.

TE – Kaden Smith – WHO? Giants 3rd string TE, that’s who.  Here’s the deal: He’s minimum priced on FD and just above minimum on DK. Both Evan Engram and Rhett Ellison are out.  Golden Tate is out.  Last week he saw 6 targets for 5 catches, one for a TD.  The yardage sucked (17 on 5 catches) but he’s getting looks in the red zone and he’s so cheap that he allows us to stack up the other positions.

That’s my CORE group of guys that I’m building on this week.  The other plays are site specific.

FANDUEL

THE FLASHLIGHT’S CORE PLAYS PLUS:

WR – Mike Evans – The Jags defense has been a disgrace lately and we know Evans is going to get his looks from Jameis.  This game has strong potential for a shoot out and Evans brings consistent targets (9.5/game) along with the big upside of multi TD games.  I like Evans to get his looks this week and post up a good one.

FLEX – Le’Veon Bell – A premium match up vs. a horrific Bengals defense.  Nice discount for a feature back with such a favorable match up.  Bell averages over 20 touches per game with 4.6 of those being catches.  So basically, would you take a feature back vs. the worst D in the league where he’ll get a minimum of 20 touches at $7300? Yes…yes I will.

DEF – Pittsburgh Steelers – Yeah there’s some payback narrative here but the Steelers D is 2nd in FD points/game this season and the Browns are still turnover prone despite their recent reduction.  The weather in Pittsburgh is cold and rainy and that field is notoriously crappy making this a slop fest candidate.  The Steelers will lean on their defense to stay in the playoff picture and deal a death blow to the Browns playoff hopes.

DRAFTKINGS

THE FLASHLIGHT’S CORE PLAYS PLUS:

WR – Robert Woods – In his last two Woods has averaged 10 targets, 6.5 catches and 96 yards.  This week he gets Arizona who have a bottom 5 pass defense.  The Rams have been struggling and need to get right this week.  With Cooper Kupp locked up by Patrick Peterson that leaves Woods to continue seeing a lot of targets and catches with positive TD upside.

FLEX – Ronald Jones II – Sometimes in DFS you hold your nose and make a play and that’s what this is.  RoJo is getting touches and that’s what we want vs. the Jags D who have refused to stop the run recently.  In fact, he’s averaging 15 touches/game over his last 4 and has a TD in 3 of 4.  The Jags D is worst DVOA vs. the run and in the bottom 10 of yards/game, yards/carry and fantasy points/game to RB.

DEF – Baltimore Ravens – Before you get excited about starting a defense vs. a team that’s 10-1, think about how San Francisco got there.  I’ll give you a hint…it wasn’t their offense.  The Ravens defense is born again hard and the 49ers offense is middle of the road at best.  We’ll take the cheap price on DK and sink it in to skill players.

That’s it for the week, good luck Canary Crew!
