Schuylkill County motorists who take Route 61 south to Interstate 78 should plan for lane restrictions near Hamburg next week.
A PennDOT contractor will patch concrete on I-78 between Exit 30 (Hamburg) and Exit 35 (PA 143) in Berks County, PennDOT says. The work starts Monday and is expected to end Saturday.
Lanes will be restricted in both directions from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. That means drivers heading east toward the Lehigh Valley and drivers coming back toward Route 61 could both hit the work zone.
PennDOT says rain is not expected to delay the work.
