Parents and caregivers can have their child car seats checked for free later this month by Pennsylvania State Police.
Troopers from the Schuylkill Haven station will host a car seat event from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Giant in the Cressona Mall, 1544 Route 61, Pottsville.
A child passenger seat technician certified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration will install seats and check ones already in place, state police said.
There is no cost to take part.
Anyone who can’t make the event can schedule an appointment at the Schuylkill Haven barracks, according to state police.
