The Schuylkill County Democratic Committee announced it will hold its annual Kennedy Dinner this Sunday, June 11, at the Mountain Valley Banquet Hall in Barnesville.
The event will offer an opportunity for the public to interact with statewide and local candidates.
The roster includes Dan McCaffery, who is running for Supreme Court; Timika Lane and Jill Beck, both aiming for Superior Court seats; and Malcolm Kenyatta, the current candidate for Auditor General.
Additionally, local candidates for County row offices will be present.
An added highlight of the event will be the recognition of Chester “Pete” Corse, Esq., who has served the Committee for years as Parliamentarian. Corse’s dedication to the Democratic party will be acknowledged and celebrated, the party announced.
The evening will also be marked by a somber note as the Committee plans to honor the memory of recently deceased community members: Regina Sharpe from Tamaqua, Helen McGeever from Pottsville, and Kathleen “Kitty” and Leo Breznik from Shenandoah.
