More spending on the 9-1-1 communications center, contract approvals, and a project award are all on the Agenda for today’s Schuylkill County Commissioners meeting.

But you can’t attend today’s meeting as they’re still closed due to the pandemic response.
You can, however, listen in and participate. Like previous weeks, this week’s Schuylkill County Commissioners meeting is being streamed via the Zoom meeting app.

Just a word to the wise: It definitely sounds as if the Commissioners are using a single mic in their board room. That means people closest to the mic are heard much better than others farther away. The Commissioners are very hard to hear, or at least they’ve been in previous weeks.
Public Comments
The most interesting part of Schuylkill County Commissioners meetings lately has been the Public Comment. And we’re talking about the second Public Comment portion, where any subject can be raised. An initial Public Comment at the beginning of meetings is meant for items on the Agenda.
Following today’s Commissioners meeting is meeting of the County Salary Board and the County Retirement Board.
