A pedestrian was injured earlier this month after he was struck by a vehicle along Route 61 near Fairlane Village Mall.
State Police-Schuylkill Haven say this incident happened a little before midnight on April 9, just south of Mall Rd. in Norwegian Township.
Gregory Mark, 34, of Pottsville, was walking along the northbound lanes of Route 61 at that time.
Then, a Toyota pickup truck driven by Joseph Delellis Jr., 77, of Ashland, reportedly struck Mark.
When police arrived at the scene, Mark was “alert and stable” but they say he needed to be evaluated for injuries and was taken by medical helicopter to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.
Police have listed Mark’s suspected injuries as minor. Delellis was uninjured.
