North Schuylkill went 2-1 in a quad match Thursday afternoon with Mahanoy Area, Minersville, and Pine Grove Area to keep pace with leaders Blue Mountain in Schuylkill League Division I.
Mahanoy Area evened its record on the season with a sweep of that match, improving its league record to 4-4
Meanwhile, Schuylkill Haven Area topped Marian Catholic for a second straight match and created a little distance for itself in the Division II race.

Mahanoy Area 332, North Schuylkill 334, Minersville 337, Pine Grove 353
Mahanoy Area went a perfect 3-0 on the day behind co-leaders Connor Bowman and Cam Chilinskas, who both turned in team-low rounds of 78. Kale Rowan (85) and Colby Wagner (91) supplied the remaining counting cards to seal the victory.
North Schuylkill’s Jace Jackson captured individual match medalist honors, firing a 1-under round of 74. Garrett Keninitz (86), Dylan Cairo (87), and Nico Capone (87) rounded out the top four counting scores for the Spartans to secure a 2-1 afternoon.
Minersville went 1-2 on the day behind a strong top-two punch from Garrett Sukeena (75) and Emma Troutman (77). Sheldon Fickes (92) and Lexi Sukeena (93) completed the counting scores for the Battlin’ Miners.
Pine Grove was led by Mason Troutman, who carded a team-best 82. Evan Moyer (88), Kaiden Umbenhauer (88), and Aaron Osatchuk (95) completed the counting quartet for the Cardinals.
Schuylkill Haven 310, Marian Catholic 354
Eli Barton led the way for the Hurricanes, shooting a match-low 73 to claim medalist honors in the Hurricanes decisive Division II victory over the Colts at Schuylkill Country Club. Schuylkill Haven sealed the victory with strong supporting rounds from Alan Evans (76), Giuliana Hughes (80), and Chase Maley (81).
Marian Catholic was led by Carter Grant, who carded a team-best 81. Collin Yurkanin (90), Brayden Grant (91), and Gavin Zola (92) or Derek Yurkanin (92) rounded out the top counting cards for the Colts.
Lourdes 364, Nativity 376
Vivian Reiprish set the tone for the Red Raiders, firing a match-low 81 to secure medalist honors, en route to the Red Raiders victory over Nativity BVM on Thursday and Indian Hills. Lourdes locked up the team victory with counting contributions from Walker McGinley (85), Rylan Wolfgang (91), and Sean Weikel (107).
Nativity was led once again by Steve Karinch, who carded a team-best 85. Layne Pasker (94), Harry Marks (97), and Bo McDonald (100) rounded out the counting cardholders for the Green Wave.
