Schuylkill Haven got its 2026 Schuylkill League golf season underway on Monday afternoon. Eli Barton shot a low round of 69 at Schuylkill Country Club to pace the Canes to their first win of the year.
Meanwhile, Jace Jackson once again paced North Schuylkill to victory, putting the Spartans at 4-0 on the season.

Here is a look at results from Monday’s matches in Schuylkill League golf.
Schuylkill Haven 324, Minersville 382
Schuylkill Haven put together a dominant home performance to secure a 58-stroke victory over Minersville, 324–382, at Schuylkill Country Club.
Eli Barton delivered for the Hurricanes, shooting a match-low 69 to take medalist honors. Barton caught fire after making the turn, tearing through the back nine with a 33. Schuylkill Haven solidified the team victory with cards from Alan Evans (77), Chase Maley (84), and Ethan Tracey (94).
Minersville was led by Emma Troutman, who carded a team-best 83. Garrett Sukeena (93), Sheldon Fickes (99), and Sam Misstishin (107) rounded out the counting scores for the Battlin’ Miners.
Nativity 348, Mahanoy Area 358
Nativity put together a solid team performance to earn a 10-stroke victory over Mahanoy Area, 348–358, at Schuylkill Country Club on Monday.
Steve Karinch of Nativity and Connor Bowman of Mahanoy Area shared co-medalist honors after both carded matching rounds of 77 to set the pace on the day.
Nativity’s team depth made the ultimate difference in taking the win. In addition to Karinch, the Green Wave received counting scores from Bo McDonald (88), Layne Pasker (89), and Harry Marks (94).
Mahanoy Area stayed within striking distance behind Connor Bowman‘s round, with Colby Wagner (93), Kale Rowan (94), and Declan Kane (94) rounding out the top four scorers for the Golden Bears.
Weatherly 322, Pine Grove 360
Chance Stauffer fired a match-low 77 and took medalist honors, as Weatherly rolled by Pine Grove, 322-360, at White Birch. All six Wreckers scored in the 80s or better. Weatherly built out its winning score with counting cards from Jacob Hinkle (79), Eli Brown (82), and Brad Connors (84).
Pine Grove was led by Evan Moyer, who carded a team-best 81. Mason Troutman (85), Kaiden Umbenhauer (96), and Aaron Osatchuck (98) rounded out the top four counting scores for the Cardinals.
North Schuylkill 340, Lourdes 350
North Schuylkill posted a well-rounded team effort to claim a 10-stroke victory over Lourdes, 340–350, at Indian Hills Golf Course.
Jace Jackson led the way for the Spartans, firing a match-low 78 to secure medalist honors. North Schuylkill locked in the win with strong scoring from Dylan Cairo (83), Stephen Minahan (86), and Rylan Coyle (93).
Lourdes was spearheaded by Walker McGinley, who shot a team-best 81. Vivian Reiprish (83), Marshall Mirarcki (87), and Sean Weikel (99) rounded out the counting scores for the Red Raiders.
Tamaqua 355, Pottsville 388
Sam Vinc continued his stellar play for the Blue Raiders, shooting a match-low 74 to claim medalist honors as Tamaqua topped Pottsville, 355-388, at Mountain Valley on Monday. Tamaqua sealed the victory with counting scores from Brody Boyle (86), Jacob Fritzinger (89), and Mason Evans (106).
Pottsville was led by Brody Kline, who shot a team-best 88. Danny Markus (89), Colton Oswald (100), and Bennet Liptok (111) rounded out the top four counting scores for the Crimson Tide.
