NWS-State College predicts actual high temperatures between 90-95 degrees on Tuesday. Heat Index values around 100 are expected.
Expect similar advisories and other heat-related announcements through the week as Schuylkill County is very likely to experience its first heat wave of 2024.
Temperatures are expected to be above 90 degrees from Tuesday through Saturday, but potentially Sunday.
A high temperature of 88 degrees is predicted for Monday in Schuylkill County.
Heat waves are defined by any stretch of more than 2 days with high temperatures above 90 degrees.
