The 2021 high school football season kicks off on Aug. 27 here in the coal region. And there’s a big slate of games this weekend.
It’s the first year of the new Colonial-Schuylkill League after it was put on hold in 2020 due to the COVID pandemic.
Here’s a look at the gridiron action:
2021 Week 1 Schuylkill League Football Schedule
All games involving local teams this week are happening on Friday, Aug. 27 and kick off at 7 p.m.
- Northwestern Lehigh at Tamaqua
- Jim Thorpe at Blue Mountain
- Lehighton at Palmerton
- Mahanoy Area at Williams Valley
- Schuylkill Haven at Marian Catholic
- Minersville at Tri-Valley
- Milton at Nativity BVM
- North Schuylkill at Mount Carmel
- Northern Lehigh at Panther Valley, PPD (COVID)
- Kutztown at Shenandoah Valley
- Selinsgrove at Pottsville
- Pine Grove at Northern Lebanon
