Another major employer in Schuylkill County has just announced a reduction in its workforce.
Lineage Logistics will lay off 208 employees at its cold storage warehouse facility at Highridge Business Park. The company posted a (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) WARN notice indicating the layoffs are effective May 27.
WARN notices are required to be posted 60 days ahead of mass layoffs or plant closings for employers of more than 100 people.
The warehouse is located at 110 Keystone Blvd. in Cass Township.
This is the second large employer at Highridge to announce a reduction in workforce or closure this month. Earlier in March, Saks Global announced it’s closing its warehouse facility at the Schuylkill County business park, putting 435 people out of work.
