National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Schuylkill County until 5 p.m., April 26.
Weather radar shows severe thunderstorms from Richfield to New Buffalo to Hogestown. The line of storms is moving 30 mph to the northeast.
NWS says this line of storms has strong winds. Gusts up to 60 mph should be expected when the storms move through the area.
It appears the storms are likely to impact the western parts of Schuylkill County and into Northumberland County.
The following municipalities are in the line of storms: Harrisburg, Colonial Park, Progress, Shamokin, Linglestown, Mount Carmel, Kulpmont, Ashland, Paxtonia, Skyline View, Valley View,
Millersburg, Marysville, Elysburg, Pine Grove, Fairview-Ferndale, Trevorton, Lykens, Tremont and Newport.
