Police in Pottsville are investigating an incident Monday evening in the city in which a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.
According to information released by Pottsville Bureau of Police, the incident happened at 5:11 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Laurel Blvd. and N. 2nd St. At that time and location, police say a Hyundai SUV driven by Sadie Bowman, 24, made a left turn onto Laurel Blvd. A 40-year-od woman pedestrian was struck by the SUV.
The pedestrian was crossing the street and in the crosswalk at the time of the impact, police say. An ambulance transported the pedestrian to Lehigh Valley Hospital on E. Norwegian St. for treatment of her injuries.
No word on the pedestrian’s condition is available at this time. Police say their investigation into this incident is ongoing.
