National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Watch for Schuylkill County on Thursday afternoon.
The Flash Flood Watch is in effect from Friday 2 p.m. (April 19) through Saturday 11 a.m. (April 20).
Schuylkill County is one of many in Pennsylvania under this same advisory.
NWS forecasters say a cold front brings the potential for severe thunderstorms and heavy rain. As much as 2 inches of rain (with some areas getting more) could fall in this rain storm.
Here are the counties covered by the Flash Flood Watch: Adams, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Montour, Northern Lycoming, Northumberland, Perry, Schuylkill, Snyder, Southern Lycoming, Sullivan, Tioga, Union, and York.
Flood prone areas and places with poor drainage could experience flooding with this storm.
