Schuylkill Technology Center Announces Adult Practical Nursing Program Pass Rate

The Schuylkill Technology Center (STC) Adult Practical Nursing Program is pleased to announce the 2025/2026 NCLEX-PN first time pass rate was 92.59%.

The National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) is the examination required by nursing school graduates in order to obtain licensure in the State of Pennsylvania.

STC operates an 18-month Day Program and 24-month Evening Program for adult learners at the North Campus, with clinical rotations with the following industry partners: Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital, Lehigh Valley Health Network Schuylkill, Mt. Carmel Nursing and Rehabilitation, Shenandoah Manor, Broad Mountain Nursing Home, Greenwood Center for Nursing, Devita Dialysis, Silver Pines Rehabilitation, Aveanna Pediatric Home Health, Child Development Inc, and Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29.

“STC offers 3- and 4-day class schedules that provide our adult learners with the flexibility to manage work and family commitments, while attending nursing school and it is that flexibility that contributes to STC impressive student retention and licensure rates,” said Director, Dr. Shannon Brennan.

“Schuylkill Technology Center has a proud tradition of preparing nurses to fill the workforce needs of Schuylkill County since 1968 and we are extremely proud of our success rates,” said Kimberly O’Neill, Practical Nursing Program Coordinator. “

STC is presently accepting applications for the next class scheduled for February 2027 and interested applicants may call (570) 874-1412.
