Schuylkill County motorists who use Interstate 78-East in Berks County at night can expect some major delays this week for a road repair project.
PennDOT says it’ll begin concrete patching on May 4 at 7 p.m. and continue through 6 a.m. on May 9. Work will happen nightly from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m.
The road work is scheduled for I-78-East between Exits 23 (Shartlesville) and 30 (Hamburg) in Tilden Township. Lane restrictions will be in place during the road work period.
PennDOT says to expect “significant delays” throughout the project and to use caution driving through the work zone.
Rain, which is in the forecast for the coming week, could delay some of this work.
