Schuylkill County Commissioners are expected to vote today (Jan. 29) on increases of rental rates at Sweet Arrow Lake Park. It’s likely these new rates will be approved and be effective immediately.
The rental rates cover use of the Clubhouse at Sweet Arrow Lake for functions like business meetings and wedding ceremonies, plus for general purposes. Pavilion rental rates are also going up
Here’s a look at the new rates compared with the old:

The Wedding Reception Bundle includes 12 hours of rental time, which can be split over two days, if necessary. The Wedding Ceremony package gets renters access to the Clubhouse and Pavilion.
For any weddings, a security officer must be employed for the duration of the event. The current rate for that security guard is $15 per hour. There’s been no action taken to change that rate.
Business meetings get access to the Clubhouse only. The gas fireplace in the Clubhouse is available for a $25 rental fee.
The Clubhouse can also be rented for gatherings other than weddings and business meetings, like service clubs, memorial services, family and class reunions, and other parties and meetings. Peak season is Saturdays from April through October.
The Large Pavilion next to the Clubhouse is available for standalone rental. It features a kitchen, outlets, a refrigerator, lights, and water. The new Waterfall Pavilion has similar features and is located below the dam breast. Each pavilion has seating for 80.
