Q&A with martini bros.
Can you introduce your band and share how you got started?
We started in 1994 in York, by Deuce Gibb, Chad Matson and Mike Mead, out of the ashes of two hard rock bands Easy Mickey and Sacred Nation. Three friends decided to form an original, no nonsense stripped down rock and roll band.
In the next few years the band would go on to travel the country playing shows in NYC, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Memphis and Nashville, even playing in Mexico.
We recorded four albums and a bunch of videos and 30 years later, with some new members, the band continues to enjoy writing and playing new music for fans all over.
How would you describe your music style and what are your main influences?
Original Rock and Rock with a bluesy/rockabilly/surfy/rock sound.
What’s the story behind your band’s name?
Original drummer remakes that it was his favorite band he had ever played with…”sit me back there with a vodka martini, and I’ll play all night! Hey how bout “the martinis”?…and singer says…”how bout “the martini bros.”
Can you share a memorable experience or highlight from your performances so far?
Playing in front of the band “LIVE” a few times to 12,000 people.
What can people expect from your performance?
You never know what to expect at a martini bros. show. But, you can expect to be up and movin’!
Do you have any new music or projects in the works that you’re excited about?
We have just released a brand new EP called “Four Banger.”
How can fans connect with you and stay updated on your latest news and releases?
