PennDOT Road Projects Set to Begin This Week

PennDOT has announced a series of road projects slated to begin in Schuylkill County this week.

Below is a detailed schedule of the upcoming projects:

Frailey Township: Fountain Mountain

• Location: Between PA 25 and PA 125
• Type of Work: Miscellaneous maintenance
• Work by: PennDOT Maintenance Forces
• Restrictions: Daytime lane closure
• Schedule: June 24, 2024
• Time: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Rain Delays: No

Hegins Township: Deep Creek Road

• Location: Between PA 901 and PA 125
• Type of Work: Pothole patching
• Work by: PennDOT Maintenance Forces
• Restrictions: Daytime lane restriction with flagging
• Schedule: June 24-28, 2024
• Time: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Rain Delays: No

Union Township: PA 924

• Location: Between Frackville Borough and Sheppton
• Type of Work: Brush cutting
• Work by: PennDOT Maintenance Forces
• Restrictions: No restriction
• Schedule: June 24-28, 2024
• Time: 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Rain Delays: No

In addition to these projects, PennDOT crews are expected to continue applying the oil-and-chip treatment to various roads across Schuylkill County until the end of July. No set schedule as to what roads will be treated when has been made available.
