Cause of Wire Tele-View Fire Still Under Investigation

A cause of the fire at Wire Tele-View in Pottsville is still under investigation.

Back on May 23, fire and several suspected explosions flattened the headquarters of the small cable TV and internet service provider on Pottsville’s East Side.

It’s been three weeks since that happened and no cause has been determined.

However, according to Pottsville Fire Chief Jim Misstishin, who is heading up the investigation, it’s not out of the ordinary for such an inquiry to take this long.

Misstishin said on Wednesday, June 12, “We just want to make sure we’ve got all our Ts crossed and our Is dotted. Nothing out of the ordinary.”

He added that last week, insurance investigators joined in the inquiry and he hasn’t heard the result of that just yet.
