Schuylkill County Fair Opens on Monday

Check the schedule and plan when you’ll visit this year!

The 2023 Schuylkill County Fair – the 40th anniversary of the fair – officially opens to the public on Monday and runs through the end of the week.

2023 Schuylkill County Fair Schedule

The Fair opens at 4 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. On Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, gates open at 11 a.m.

Admission to the Schuylkill County Fair is $5 a day. Parking is free. Kids 10 and under are admitted free. Admission for active duty military and veterans is $4 on Wednesday and it’s $4 to get in for senior citizens (60+) on Thursday.

Extra attractions, namely the Truck and Tractor Pull evens is $5 on Monday and Tuesday and $3 on Wednesday. The pulling events are held at the Ag Museum Track.

The Carnival midway rides and open at 4 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday through Saturday. The midway opens at 1 p.m. on Tuesday. Daily ride bands cost $25. A sheet of 55 tickets costs $50 and a sheet of 20 tickets costs $20. Individual ride tickets cost $1.50 each.

Special reserved Main Stage seating is available to purchase for shows on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Seating is provided by the Fair. The cost of each ticket for each show is $10.

Monday, July 31 – Pulling Day

The 2023 Schuylkill County Fair officially opens to the public at 4 p.m. on Monday when the midway and rides open and the Fair Queen and Princess contests are held.

The New Individuals takes the main stage with shows at 7 and 9 p.m.

Tuesday, August 1 – Kids Day

The Fair opens early for Kids Day on Tuesday.

A premium pulling event starts at 7 p.m. at the Ag Museum Track while Sapphire takes the stage at 7 and 9 p.m.

  • 11 a.m.-2 p.m.: Touch-A-Truck
  • 12 p.m.: Kids Contests (Every Half Hour)
  • 1 p.m.: Midway/Rides Open
  • 1 p.m.: Schuylkill Ballet Theater
  • 1:30 p.m.: Tractor Parade
  • 5:30 p.m.: Pedal Tractor Pull
  • 6 p.m.: Ways of Wildlife with Porcupine Pat
  • 7 p.m.: East Coast Pro Pulling (466 Hot Farm Tractors, Limited Pro Stock Semis, Modified FWD Trucks, Pro Stock Diesel 3.6
  • 7 p.m., 9 p.m.: Sapphire

Wednesday, August 2 – Military Day

Discounted admission is available to all active duty military and veterans on Wednesday.

There’s a boilo contest at 7:30 p.m. and The Uptown Band takes the Main Stage for shows at 7 and 9 p.m.

  • 4 p.m.: Midway/Rides Open
  • 4:30 p.m.: Tractor Parade
  • 5 p.m.: Presentation of Colors-Veterans of Vietnam War
  • 5:30 p.m.: Celebrity Tractor Pull
  • 6 p.m.: Indians of PA with Dave “Big Owl” McSurdy
  • 6 p.m.: Livestock Skill-A-Thon
  • 7 p.m.: Farm Stock Pulls
  • 7:30 p.m.: Boilo Contest
  • 7 p.m., 9 p.m.: The Uptown Band

Thursday, August 3 – Senior Appreciation Day

Seniors (60+) get in the Fair for a discounted rate.

The day also features at Cornhole Tournament and the always anticipated Livestock Auction.

Shawn Klush, Ultimate Elvis, takes the stage at 7 and 9 p.m.

  • 4 p.m.: Livestock Sale Buyers Check-in
  • 4 p.m.: Midway/Rides Open
  • 4:30 p.m.: Tractor Parade
  • 5 p.m.: 4H/FFA Livestock Auction & Awards
  • 5 p.m.: Cornhole Tournament Registration
  • 6 p.m.: The Bad Biters & Sap Suckers: Mosquitoes, Ticks, and Lanternflies
  • 6 p.m.: Cornhole Tournament
  • 7 p.m., 9 p.m.: Shawn Klush – Ultimate Elvis

Friday, August 4 – Country Day

Don’t miss the hay bale toss along with line dancing. Later, Heather Olson & The Silver Eagle Band (a Patsy Cline Tribute) takes the Main Stage for shows at 7 and 9 p.m.

  • 3 p.m.: Animal Obstacle Course
  • 4 p.m.: Midway/Rides Open
  • 4:30 p.m.: Tractor Parade
  • 6 p.m.: Native Reptiles of PA – The Venom Institute w/ Rudy Arceo
  • 6 p.m.: Threshing Demonstration
  • 7 p.m.: Kids/Adult Hay Bale Toss
  • 7 p.m.: DJ Chicken Nugget, Line Dancing
  • 7 p.m., 9 p.m.: Heather Olson & The Silver Eagle Band (Patsy Cline Tribute)

Saturday, August 5 – Schuylkill County Day

The final day of the Fair is not without its entertainment, too.

Don’t miss The Mudflaps Reunion shows at 7 and 9 p.m. on the Main Stage.
