Ribbon Cut on New Event Venue in Downtown Pottsville

Vacated furniture store transformed into a desperate need for Pottsville.

Members of the local business community recently cut the ribbon on one of Pottsville’s newest downtown locations, Arrow Studio & Events.

Arrow is essentially a “blank canvas” for individuals and groups to host events, like weddings or office parties. It’s located in the former Nathan’s furniture store at 316 N. Centre St. in Pottsville.

The business is owned and operated by Allie and Jared Doran and each have brought their unique skills together to open this new business. Arrow fills a void that we’ve been told numerous times was desperately needed in Pottsville and Schuylkill County.

We first learned about Arrow during the Launch Pottsville competition in 2022. Although the Dorans were not chosen as one of the winners, they still moved forward with their plans to open their business and exactly one year to the day of that contest’s finale, members of Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce were joined by fellow business owners and elected officials to officially cut the ribbon on it.

“The amount of love and support you guys have shown us has been absolutely incredible,” Jared said at the ribbon cutting back on April 28.

Allie concurred. She said, “This project has been a massive effort of community support.

She also said that there business probably wouldn’t have been possible without going through the Launch Pottsville competition last year.

“Without the Launch Pottsville effort, we would have never met any of you,” she said. “We’re so grateful for the support that we found. This has been an amazing ride since last year.”

You can learn more about Arrow at the company’s website. See how they transformed the vacant furniture store at their current location into what is now their business by following them on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
