Seven more Schuylkill County employees have tested COVID positive.
In an update from the Courthouse, HR Director Heidi Zula informed all employees that a contact tracing investigation revealed no other employees had to quarantine due to close contact with the 7 who’ve tested positive.
Another employee is in quarantine due to a close contact with another person outside the Courthouse.
The Jan. 5 update comes after a Dec. 30 COVID in the Courthouse update revealed 11 Schuylkill County government employees had tested positive and another person had to quarantine due to close contact.
An indoor mask mandate is still in place at the Courthouse. And the County has spent a large, but unspecified amount of money trying to mitigate the spread of the virus at County offices.
