There have been a number of assaults and fights reported around Schuylkill County lately.

Most notably comes a report from back on Sept. 7 at around 6:45 p.m.

State Police in Schuylkill Haven say a 35-year-old Haven woman reports she was attacked and hit with a metal pipe several times. The incident happened along Route 61-South near the Cressona Mall.

They say the suspected assailant in this incident fled the scene on foot. Police are continuing their investigation.

Assault Near Ruby Tuesday

In another incident along the highway, State Police report  24-year-old Frackville man was the victim of another assault.

This happened on Sept. 13, at about 7:25 a.m.. They say the man was assaulted on the north shoulder of the road near the Ruby Tuesday restaurant.

Police are still looking into this alleged assault and ask anyone with information to call 570-593-2000.

Sidewalk Fight in Tremont

In an undercard event in Tremont recently, two men were busted fighting.

Police say a 27-year-old from Tremont and a 31-year-old from Wilkes-Barre were engaged in a confrontation along E. Main St. in the borough back on Sept. 11 at about 12:20 p.m. The two men were going at it on the sidewalk.

One man was charged with disorderly conduct and another with harassment.

Ladies Hurl Obscenities Near Auburn

Also back on Sept. 11, police report two Ashland women decided to get in their car and tell a woman from near Auburn a thing or two.

The women, aged 53 and 24, got in their vehicle and drove to Woodland Dr. in South Manheim Twp., the home of a 53-year-old woman.

Once they got there, the Ashland women began screaming and cursing at the other woman.
