A Schuylkill County man and woman are accused of attacking a man while he was doing renovation work at a local business earlier this year.
According to court documents, the reported incident happened back on Jan. 13 at the Buy Rite Autos location in North Manheim Township. State Police-Schuylkill Haven say the victim of this alleged attack was inside the business doing renovations when a man and woman pulled up in a blue minivan.
The man and woman – identified as John Davis, 50, and Jill Fehr, 48, both of Schuylkill Haven – approached the victim wanting to speak to a person named Craig. The victim said he didn’t know a Craig.
Fehr, according to what the victim told police, attempted to open a door to the garage area of the business. The victim said he stepped in front of her and said she wasn’t permitted there.
Davis then grabbed the victim by the shirt and shoved him into a corner. He then headbutted the victim once and punched him multiple times in the face. The victim said as Davis was attacking him, Fehr also punched him on the top of the head and kicked him several times.
The attack lasted about 30 seconds, the victim told police. He said he recognized Davis from a job he’d done in the past in Pottsville.
Charges of simple assault and harassment have been filed against Davis and Fehr.
