A Schuylkill County man was robbed of $8,000 on a Facebook Marketplace sale gone wrong.
State Police in Frackville say an unidentified person agreed to meet up with Matthew Taylor, 28, of Orwigsburg, at White Birch Golf Course in Rush Township just before midnight back on March 30.
The unidentified person allegedly agreed to purchase a motorcycle that Taylor was selling on Marketplace. Taylor was handed $8,000 in cash. He went to his Jeep to count the money.
But instead of giving this unidentified person the motorcycle in exchange for the cash, Taylor fled the scene.
Police say they’re filing theft charges against Taylor.
