Schuylkill County Woman Slashes Man with Machete

A Schuylkill County woman got sent to prison after police say she slashed a man with a machete during a domestic disturbance.

State Police in Schuylkill Haven say the 35-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man got involved in a domestic fight at a Wayne Township home along Route 183.

The fight started with just some verbal back-and-forth but turned physical, shortly after 1 a.m. on June 1.

That’s when the woman grabbed an 18-inch machete and slashed the man on his forearm. The man suffered a 4-inch laceration on his arm.

He left the scene of the fight before police arrived, PSP reports. When police arrived on the scene, they took the woman into custody and sent her to prison on $25,000 cash bail.

No names were released with this report.
