National Weather Service placed Schuylkill County in a Wind Advisory for Friday, Feb. 7, from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.

A winter storm is grazing the coal region Friday and could bring up to 2 inches of snow. Along with that snow and rain, is the likelihood of strong winds.
The Wind Advisory in place for Schuylkill County warns that we could experience 20-30 mph steady winds throughout the day and evening on Friday. Wind gusts could reach 55 mph.
The high winds could knock down trees, close roads, and possibly knock out electricity for some in the coal region.
Be sure to tie down or bring in any unsecured objects outside.
On Friday, Schuylkill County is under a Winter Weather Advisory from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Some areas could see as much as 2 inches of snow.
