Geisinger announced today that it’s opening a new urgent care center in Schuylkill County.
The ConvenientCare clinic will be located at the Geisinger office building at 300 Hollywood Blvd. outside of Orwigsburg. It’s slated to open on April 1.
ConvenientCare will be staffed with two certified registered nurse practitioners and other licensed medical staff able to treat anyone 1 year old or older. Its hours will be 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. on weekends.
ConvenientCare is a walk-in urgent care center where patients can be seen without an appointment. Staff at ConvenientCare locations can treat allergies, cuts that require stitches, insect bites and tick removal, ear, urinary, and other infections, skin rashes, and sprains and strains.
