National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Schuylkill County.
The Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3.
National Weather Service is forecasting mixed wintry precipitation on Tuesday morning. A light glaze of ice is expected, especially at higher elevataions.
One-tenth of an inch of ice and less than an inch of snow is expected. Roads could be slippery
According to the detailed forecast for the Pottsville area on Tuesday, snow, sleet, and freezing rain is expected before 10 a.m. Then, until about 1 p.m., snow, freezing rain, and plain rain are in the forecast.
The forecasted high temperature on Tuesday will be 39 degrees.
Rain showers will persist into Tuesday night with more rain likely on Wednesday night.
