A Schuylkill County man was jailed at the end of last year following his second accused assault of 2025.
State Police say the victim of the alleged assault visited the Frackville barracks on the evening of Dec. 29 to make a report against Shayne Earle, 43, of Delano Township.
Earle, the victim reportedly said, came home from drinking and engaged her in an argument that turned physical when he grabbed her by the hair and threw her to the floor. Some of the victim’s hair was pulled from her head during this initial assault, she told police.
The victim also alleges that Earle grabbed her by the throat and then struck her in the face 10 times. Earle then allegedly kneeled on the victim’s chest as she was on the ground.
Police have charged Earle with two counts of simple assault and one count of reckless endangerment, all misdemeanors. Earle was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli, who set bail at $25,000 and remanded him to Schuylkill County Prison.
This was the second time Earle was charged with assault in 2025. Back in July, Earle was jailed after he allegedly assaulted a 72-year-old man by repeatedly striking him in the face and then getting on top of him and continuing to assault him while the victim was on the ground.
Charges in that case are pending trial at Schuylkill County Courthouse.
