UPDATED 1:00 PM: Electric service has been restored to most homes and businesses across Schuylkill County that lost power earlier today, PPL Electric is reporting.
Most of the 1,241 outages were reported earlier Friday. Many of them happened in Tremont, where 900 customers were without power. That was 79% of all customers in the borough.
According to the latest info from PPL Electric, power has been completely restored in the borough.
As of 1 p.m., just 52 customers are without power across Schuylkill County.
Wind gusts up to 50 mph are possible through tonight in Schuylkill County, according to National Weather Service. A Wind Advisory is in effect until 1 a.m. Saturday.
More power outages are possible throughout the day due to the strong winds.
