A Schuylkill County man already jailed on alleged sex crimes against two children is facing new felony charges after police say a third victim came forward with accusations of sexual assault.
Michael Poslosky, 30, of Pottsville, was arraigned April 10 on the new charges and a Magisterial District Judge James Reiley set his bail at an additional $50,000. In this second case, Poslosky is charged with two felony counts of indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age, one felony count of corruption of minors, and a misdemeanor count of indecent exposure.
Poslosky was previously remanded to the Schuylkill County Prison in late February. In that initial case, police charged him with numerous felonies, including five first-degree counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, following allegations that he sexually assaulted two children, ages 8 and 5 at the time.
The latest charges stem from a child abuse hotline report made on March 5, police say. According to police, the new victim, who was under 13 at the time of the alleged offenses, detailed two incidents of sexual assault during a forensic interview at a children’s advocacy center.
Police say the first incident occurred when the victim and their family had moved into a relative’s house. During the forensic interview, the victim provided investigators with details of how Poslosky allegedly sexually assaulted them during the night while the family was sharing a bedroom.
A second incident allegedly took place within the past year. According to police, the victim reported that Poslosky committed another sex crime against them and exposed himself while they were watching a movie on a bed.
Charges from the first case against Poslosky were held for Schuylkill County Court at a preliminary hearing on March 30. A hearing on the new set of charges is scheduled for Monday morning in Pottsville.
