Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting Celebrated at Ice Cream Haven

Schuylkill County’s newest ice cream parlor celebrated its grand opening last week with a ribbon cutting from the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce.

Ice Cream Haven is located in what people of a certain age call the Bedway Mall along Route 61 in Schuylkill Haven. The parlor serves premium ice cream, sundaes, milkshakes, and other frozen treats.

Owner Wasiq Tanveer tells The Canary that the shop has been open since May 23 and business has been very good so far.

“We’re doing well,” Tanveer says. “We have a very good response from the community.

He says he wanted to open an ice cream parlor as a way to serve the community.

“Ice cream brings people together,” Tanveer says.

Ice Cream Haven is open from noon until 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from noon until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
