John Holobetz (Pottsville Area) – Pitcher, Greenville Drive (Red Sox High A)
Holobetz struck out 8 and walked none in a start on Sunday for Greenville against the Asheville Tourists (Astros). He worked 5 innings and did not factor in the decision, allowing 6 hits and 2 solo home runs.
Travis Blankenhorn (Pottsville Area) – OF/DH, Rocket City Trash Pandas (Angels Double A)
Blankenhorn went 6-for-22 (.273) in a 6-game series against the Knoxville Smokies (Cubs) last week. He hit a home run, his 8th of the season, and 2 doubles in that series. Last week’s performance raised his season batting average from .216 to .231.
Kaleb Sophy (Blue Mountain) – Pitcher, Kannapolis Cannon Ballers (White Sox A)
Sophy did not factor in the decision during his most recent start on Sunday against the Hickory Crawdads (Rangers). He went 4 innings, allowing 5 hits and 2 runs. Sophy struck out 2 and walked 2.
Nate Nabholz (Blue Mountain) – Pitcher, Tri-City Valleycats (Frontier League)
Nabholz, a 2019 graduate of Blue Mountain High School and Cressona native, recently signed a contract to play with the Tri-City Valleycats of the Frontier League, an MLB Partner League.
Nabholz has appeared in 4 games for the Valleycats. He’s allowed 1 run on 5 hits while striking out 6 and walking 3 over 7 innings of relief work.
Thomas Schultz (Mount Carmel Area) – Pitcher, Harrisburg Senators (Nationals Double A)
Schultz made two appearances last week in a series against the Altoona Curve (Pirates). He worked 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 2 hits while striking out 2 and walking 4. Schultz’ season ERA is 2.59.
Tom Reisinger (Mount Carmel Area) – Pitcher, Lansing Lugnuts (Athletics High A)
Reisinger worked 1.1 innings of relief in an appearance against the Fort Wayne TinCaps (Padres) on July 1. He allowed 3 runs on 3 hits and walked 1. Reisinger’s season ERA is now at 5.04.
Reggie Crawford (North Schuylkill) – Pitcher, San Francisco Giants organization
Crawford is likely to miss the entire 2025 season after undergoing surgery to repair the labrum in his left shoulder back in September. The procedure has a 10-12 month rehab period.
Brandon Schaeffer (Schuylkill Haven Area) – Pitcher, Everett AquaSox (Mariners High A)
Schaeffer was placed on the 60-day injured list by the AquaSox on March 18. He has yet to make an appearance for the team in the 2025 season.
Joe Nahas (Marian Catholic) – Pitcher, Free Agent
Nahas was released by South Bend on June 22.
