Frost Advisory Issued for Schuylkill County

In effect from 11 p.m. until 9 a.m. Wednesday

National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for Schuylkill County. The Frost Advisory goes into effect at 11 p.m. Tuesday and expires at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7.

Temperatures are expected to drop into the mid-30s overnight tonight and that will result in frost forming in many areas of Schuylkill County.

Frost could harm sensitive outdoors vegetation, NWS says. Sensitive plants could be killed if they’re left uncovered.

Valley locations and sheltered areas are most likely to experience the coldest overnight temps tonight.

The rest of this week and into early next week look slightly warmer across the coal region. The 7-day forecast shows daytime high temps climbing into the upper 60s and low-70s most days with overnight lows ranging from the upper 40s to low-50s.
