Voters in one section of Minersville will cast their ballots in a new location this November.
Schuylkill County Commissioners recently approved a polling location change for Minersville’s 3rd precinct (Precinct 44). The change goes into effect for the General Election on Nov. 3.
Instead of voting at Minersville Public Library, voters in the 3rd precinct will now vote at Zion Lutheran Church, 4th & Lewis streets.
A full listing of polling locations from Schuylkill County Election Bureau is expected to be published soon.

Eleven drivers were hired to deliver Election Day supplies and equipment. Each is paid a set amount: John Hayes, Denise Wallace, Steve Quengasser and Delmar Phillips will each receive $360; James Zerbe, $350; Gary Keifer, $340; Jay Tobias and Robert Corocoran, $320 each; Darren Phillips and William Klinger, $310 each; and David Briggs, $300.
Five sub-contractors were approved to deliver election machines for the Nov. 3 election at $14 per hour, as needed: Delmar Phillips, Dennis Prosick, Jeff Kovach, Gary Goodman, and John Hayes.
The County hired four people to serve as resolution board members for Election Day at the STS building, at $100 each: Jerry Bowman, Edward Barket, Renee Buchanan, and Bob Bylone.
Seven sub-contractors will make up the computing board at $75 per day: James Klock, Joanne Dower, Don Dudash, Ann M. Karpovich, Joan Dudash, Ann Abalo, and Sharon Chiao. They’ll begin the 2 percent computation and canvassing of returns at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6, in the Election Bureau office.
