Here are results from Wednesday’s action from Schuylkill League golf teams:
Mahanoy Area 331, Nativity 336
Connor Bowman captured match medalist honors for the Golden Bears, firing a match-low 72 after opening with a 35 on the front nine at White Birch Golf Course. Mahanoy Area built its winning total with strong supporting cards from Declan Kane (84), Cam Chilinskas (87), and Colby Wagner (88).
Nativity kept the pressure on behind matching 78s from Stephen Karinch and Layne Pasker. Bo McDonald (87) and Harry Marks (93) completed the top four counting scores for the Green Wave.
Schuylkill Haven 291, Minersville 329
Alan Evans led a historic team performance for Schuylkill Haven, firing a 2-under 70 to take match medalist honors at White Birch Golf Course. The Hurricanes put all four counting cardholders at 75 or better to construct their 291 total, backed by Eli Barton (71), Chase Maley (75), and Giulianna Hughes (75).
Minersville was spearheaded by Emma Troutman, who carded a team-best 71 highlighted by a 32 on the front nine. Garrett Sukeena (75), Trista Troutman (89), and Sheldon Fickes (94) rounded out the counting scores for the Battlin’ Miners.
Weatherly 336, Pine Grove 363
Brad Connors earned co-medalist honors with an 80 to lead Weatherly to a road victory at Blue Mountain View Golf Course. The Wreckers showcased scoring depth across the lineup, getting key counting cards from Chance Stauffer (81), Eli Brown (84), and Joey Esposito (91).
Pine Grove was paced by Evan Moyer, who matched Connors for co-medalist honors with an 80. Mason Troutman added an 83 for the Cardinals, while Bryce Heim (98) and Liam Levan (102) completed the top four scores.
